Nascida Joan Agnes Theresa Sadie Brodel em Detroit, Michigan, no dia 26 de Janeiro de 1925, Joan Leslie é uma atriz e pin-up americana. Leslie começou aos três anos no teatro de vaudeville. Foi para Hollywood ainda adolescente, atuando com seu nome verdadeiro em diversos filmes.
Seu maior papel foi em "High Sierra" (1941) já usando o nome "Joan Leslie". Também fez outro filme importante "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (1942), e aos 18 anos estrelou "The Sky's the Limit" (1943). Em 1950 se casou com Dr. William Caldwell, com quem ficou até a morte dele em 2000 e tiveram duas filhas gêmeas. Seu último filme foi em "The Revolt of Mamie Stover" (1956) e ela assim se aposentou. Mas apareceu em diversos comerciais para a TV e participou de shows também na TV. Ela tem uma Estrela na Calçada da Fama.
